Julia is a spiritually driven soul and from a very young age knew that she was on this earth to do something important, she didn't know what that was at the time but she always had an urgent sense that it was important and would help others. She is a natural motivator and likes to inspire all those who come to her for intuitive and spiritual advice. She's passionate about music and it's healing vibration to transform and work miracles. Her music comes from the heart and is not typical of radio friendly cookie cutter, fit into the fabric kind of music, she writes what inspires her, with the intention to fill a void that seems to be left wide open. There is a standard in music that she does not fit the mold and herein seems to be the rub as she is more a messenger in her music than anything else, she is more one to rally and inspire others through words and music because it's a soul calling. She doesn't subscribe to be commercial or part of the pack, she prefers to listen intuitively to what she is guided to write. This is what makes the difference in her music, her message is simply to inspire, bring comfort and light. Julia is from a musical family and in her early days performed in coffee houses, local restaurants and Hotel's throughout the Maryland, DC area until she was snatched up by a booking agent and moved to New York City. She eventually landed a publishing deal with Famous Music and the Entertainment Company in New York and got her first cover for a song she co-wrote with Jeanne Napoli and Gary Portnoy called "I'll Never Get Enough of You," recorded by the Australian pop rock group "Air Supply." She worked with many noteworthy songwriters, writing, doing demos and performing in Greenwich Village, the theater district and in super clubs in NYC. She performed with Cuba Gooding and the Main Ingredient at the Famous Cotton Club in Harlem. She recorded the song "Good As Gold" written by Richard Currier and Jim Piazza for the Sport Aid Event in London with Bob Geldoff, performed by Olympic Gold Medalist Skater Robin Cousins at the Birmingham Skating Arena and filmed the video of the song with Robin in London. She moved to Los Angeles after 11 years in New York City to collaborate with other singer/songwriters then left the business for 10 years when she hit a dry spell. She decided to move to Santa Fe, New Mexico to find a more peaceful/spiritual life as a higher self communication counselor but it proved to be short lived. Soon after she had a mystical experience that pointed her back to music and back to LA. She co-wrote the song "Light Of Love" with Roslyn Kind and Michael Orland, recorded by Roslyn and produced by Stephan Oberhoff. It was recently released on CD Baby. "Light of Love" was also performed by Roslyn Kind in the mid 90's on the long running TV series "The Nanny." Julia is on a mission to bring this project to the world and realizes the "something important" she first felt in her early life was the vision she was given to create the 728 World Peace Music Festival's throughout the world to usher in this frequency of higher love for the evolution of humanity.
